WRGPT15 Registration Information:

WRGPT15 REGISTRATION IS CLOSED

Try again next year.

There are a few things about WRGPT15 I want to let you know before you register.

1. Timeouts are FIVE hours as in WRGPT14.

2. After your tenth timeout while over 10% of the players remain you will be resigned from the tourney. When less than 10% of the players remain you get 14 timeouts total.

3. You can use a fictional name for public display but must give the floorman your real name.

I prefer that the name you play under is your actual name, second preference would be a real "sounding" name. I want your real name so I can prevent duplicate entries. The real name will not be known by anyone other than the floorman and will not be publicized.

4. The server is in the PACIFIC timezone.

It makes it easier for me. Pacific time is 3 hours behind Eastern time and follows the same daylight savings rules as most of the USA.

5. Each person can only play one stack.

If I notice that a person is playing more than one stack, all involved stacks will be resigned without warning. So, do not play your friend's stack for him while he is gone. Let them be on vacation.

6. If you are AWOL or on vacation for 45 days your stack will be removed.

In order to keep the game fair any stack abandonded for 45 calendar days will be removed. Exceptions will be made if the floorman is notified before the 45 days have elapsed.

7. The server name has changed.

The server used to be on warmfuzzies.com. Now it has its own domain of wrgpt.org.

Discussion on Timeouts:

Timeouts are discouraged. However, some timeouts are unavoidable. That is why you are allowed a generous supply of timeouts before any punishment is taken. You will (and should) timeout if you or your spouse goes into labor, or your kid needs to see the doctor or you get really swamped at work. However, if you get ten timeouts from serious or unavoidable situations you have my sympathy, but you still will be resigned from the tourney so that your unfortunate situation does not impact the other players in the tourney.
