WRGPT14 Registration Information:

There are a few changes to WRGPT14 I want to let you know before you register.

1. Timeouts are now FIVE hours as in WRGPT13.

2. After your tenth timeout while over 10% of the players remain you will be resigned from the tourney. When less than 10% of the players remain you get 12 timeouts total until the final three tables. At that time it will be up to the floorman to decide what is reasonable.

See timeout discussion below.

3. You can use a fictional name for public display but must give the floorman your real name.

I prefer that the name you play under is your actual name, second preference would be a real "sounding" name. I want your real name so I can prevent duplicate entries. The real name will not be known by anyone other than the floorman and will not be publicized.

4. The server is in the PACIFIC timezone.

It makes it easier for me. Pacific time is 3 hours behind Eastern time and follows the same daylight savings rules as most of the USA.

If you understand these changes click here to register for WRGPT14.

Discussion on Timeouts:

Timeouts slow down the game unnecessarily.

Timeouts slow down the game unnecessarily.

Therefore, timeouts are discouraged. However, some timeouts are unavoidable. That is why you are allowed a generous supply of timeouts before any punishment is taken.
